PRICE: ₩1.000 each pack
BOUGHT FROM: Apieu

This is part two of my Apieu patch review, my first one is the normal/day patches, I will link it here 🙂 Do feel free to read that as well 🙂

The packaging of the night version of Apieu’s patches look different from the normal/day version. Each pack looks like this:

This pack has a ziplock cover to it, the day one doesn’t.

At the back, the details are again in Korean so I translated them again:

Basically, this contains Tea Tree Leaf Oil and Willow Herbs. It’s suitable for dry skin, despite having the tea tree ingredient. The ingredients are packed in the hydrogel patch, which promotes intensive treatment during the night time. For hygienic purposes, they made the pouch of this have a ziploc zipper. And lastly, recommended usage is an application of 8-12 hours for maximum treatment.

Not only the packaging is different. The patches themselves are different as well. They’re no longer transparent. They now are like circle cotton pads. Definitely thicker than that of the day ones.

Oh and, this only has 10 patches as compared to the day version’s 12. This one has less yet it is more pricey…. what even.

The sticky area is also different. It’s like gel and I don’t know if it’s just because of the environment temperature, but it feels quite cooling.

Like mentioned earlier, another difference is that this is a lot thicker than the day one. Look at that?!

The sticking power of this, sadly isn’t as good as the day patches. This one doesn’t stick as well. The corners don’t really stick well onto my skin. But once I do get to fix it in place, it won’t really move around much.

The performance is the same as the day one. It doesn’t kill a pimple in a day, but it does shorten a pimple’s life. Not drying and no stinging also, which is good. The pimple looks a tad bit flattened and the redness is diminished. I don’t know why, but when I placed these patches on 3 pimples, only 2 ended up looking like they were treated the next morning. The other one.. I have no idea why it didn’t have much change.

Overall, I’d choose the normal/day pack over this. And this one is really just for inside wear because the patch is very much visible. Sticking power and performance aren’t equal, so obviously I’d go for the better one, which is the day pack. I’d still use these since there were no irritations and it still did soothe some red zits, but I’d probably just buy more of the day pack next time. And, the normal day patch is only ₩500 while this is ₩1.000 probably only because of the hydrogel. So yep, day patch it is!

Any thoughts? Leave them down below!
